  16. melodically engaging songs of the 1940s and '50s; in Rancho
  17. Mirage, Calif. Van Heusen supplied Bing Crosby with 1944's
  18. Academy Award-winning Swinging on a Star and Frank Sinatra with
  19. a string of hits from High Hopes to All the Way, both Oscar
  20. winners. Jazz improvisers often found Van Heusen's tunes
  21. harmonically rewarding. Sonny Rollins' 1957 solo sax recording
  22. of It Could Happen to You is a virtuoso example.
